On 22 Oct 2026 BR24 reported that Erding police stopped searching after a week of wildlife-camera footage from the Notzinger Moos showed only native animals and no large cats, no prey was found, and no new sighting tips had come in for six days. The district office said the experts it asked to review the hunter's thermal clip reached no clear opinion. Police still consider the clip authentic and say what it shows remains open. Status stays open. — Sources: BR24, 'Suchmaßnahmen eingestellt: Doch kein Puma in Bayern?'
